Royal author calls photo use in Harry and Meghan's doc trailer 'a travesty'
A royal expert has called the photos selected in the trailer for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s upcoming documentary a “travesty”, following misuse claims.
Since the release of the clip, it’s been pointed out that one of the photos, showing an army of aggressive photographers seemingly waiting to capture the couple, was actually taken from the London premiere of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2011. Discussing the image, royal author Robert Jobson tweeted: “This photograph used by Netflix and Harry and Meghan to suggest intrusion by the press is a complete travesty."Only 3 people were in the accredited position. H & M agreed the position. I was there."
In the trailer, Harry is heard saying: “I had to do everything I could to protect my family,” speaking to his wife Meghan and their two children, for whom “history was repeating itself”.Other footage used by the media team has been claimed to have been taken from separate scenarios, including Katie Price's prosecution trial outside Crawley Magistrates Court from last December, and Trump's former lawyer’s departure for prison.
