Practice of lighting up the sails of the Sydney Opera House to be curtailed in futureThe practice of lighting up the sails on the Sydney Opera House will be curtailed in the future, according to New South Wales Premier Chris Minns. The Premier says now the Opera House is lit up too often and that back in 2012, it was lit up about 23 times a year, now, it’s up to an average of 70 times a year. Mr Minns said moving forward, he’d like to introduce a formal framework through which the requests can be properly looked at.
