The Democratic Party has deliberately chosen to “distance” itself from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ahead of the November presidential election in the United States, according to a royal expert.
The Democratic Party has deliberately chosen to “distance” itself from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as the US presidential election nears, a royal commentator has suggested.
Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue claimed the Montecito couple’s absence from the star-studded event was a “deliberate choice”. Ms Krakue said she believed the Sussexes were starting to “wise up” amid a plunge in the popularity ratings. “So I don’t think it would actually do the Democrats any favours to have Harry and Meghan endorsing them, I actually think it would have the opposite effect and I think the Democrats know that.”
