The latest evolution of the Ruf CTR3 is more powerful than ever

chose the 2023 Monterey Car Week to present its most powerful model yet – the CTR3 Evo. The supercar gets a mid-mounted flat-six and a redesigned bodywork that retains the Porsche styling references.was originally introduced in 2007 as a mid-engined supercar loosely based on the Cayman, with the improved CTR3 Clubsport following in 2012. The new CTR3 Evo builds on the same recipe, bringing styling, chassis, and performance upgrades.

The lightweight bodywork with the unconventional proportions is made of Kevlar composite. The front end still looks like a tuned Porsche 997 with a different bumper and pronounced fenders, while the tail has been completely redesigned trading the oldtaillights for more traditional round units under a new and “automatically-deploying” rear wing. Below, there is a large diffuser made of carbon fiber that houses the quad exhaust pipes.

The upgraded twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six engine produces 789 hp and a rather impressive 730 lb-ft of torque. The mill features dry-sump lubrication, variable valve timing and lift, and direct fuel injection, with its output figures surpassing those of any. Interior photos reveal a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic although a manual could be included in the list of options.

Ruf didn’t announce the performance specifications but the power boost compared to the Ruf CTR3 Clubsport likely means it will be quicker. Note that the Clubsport accelerated from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds before reaching a top speed of 380 km/h . The most powerful Ruff gets carbon-ceramic brakes measuring 15 inches in diameter and featuring yellow six-piston calipers. Ruf’s 20-inch five-spoke center-lock alloy wheels are finished in blue, wrapped in Michelin rubber.

reports that the Ruf CTR3 Evo is priced at $725,000. Judging from the previous CTR3 variants, it is safe to assume that Ruf’s new flagship supercar will be produced in limited numbers.
