Deshaun Watson reaches settlement with NFL, August 18, 2022BEREA, Ohio -- The following is the timeline for Deshaun Watson’s 11-game suspension without pay under the NFL’s personal conduct policy for what the league determined was four instances of sexual assault by its own definition of ‘unwanted sexual contact’ with another person.
Watson has also been fined $5 million and ordered to commit to counseling and treatment. Here is the timeline for his suspension and the rules governing it:-- Watson must vacate the Browns facility to begin the suspension, and will be prohibited from attending until midway through his ban.-- Following Week 5 of the season, the day after the Browns home game against the Chargers on Oct.
Meet with player engagement staff, mental health consultants, team chaplain, treating clinicians, and other professional resources.Participate in individual workouts with the strength and conditioning coach.LAST TWO WEEKS OF THE SUSPENSION : The player may participate in practices or other football activities for up to two weeks prior to the conclusion of the suspension.
