WILLIAMSPORT – Commonwealth Court has been asked to overturn the ruling that allowed former U.S. Rep. Thomas A. Marino to remain on the ballot as a Republican candidate for Lycoming County district attorney.
It is Bartley’s contention Marino is ineligible to run because he will not have lived continuously in the county the required year before Nov. 7 general election. He based that allegation on Marino registering to vote and applying for a Florida’s driver license last Nov. 7. He mistakenly thought he had to have his vehicle registered in Florida for it to be on the condominium property after a short period, he said.
