Sky News host Chris Smith says now that Labor is in government, running a pandemic response, is “not as easy as it looked”.
“Look at the lunacy of what we were told this week from the Treasurer and the Health Minister,” Mr Smith said.
“Both men refused to extend the free RAT unit scheme for concession card holders, and the Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment had to end, despite the fact that we were heading for a new, higher spike next month. Mr Smith said however, when Prime Minister Anthony Albanese had his “stopover in Australia during his world discovery tour”, the payments were back on, with some help from the states.
