“So, some people feel hurt because it [a text break-up] doesn’t allow them the opportunity to ask questions. For a lot of people, it leaves more questions than answers. It often also means you’ll end up doing the to-ing and fro-ing [of messages].”“Because, whether you like it or not, your lives will be entwined for quite some time afterwards,” says Cavenett, of people whose marriages are severed in this manner. “You’ve still got to negotiate financial separation and settlement.
