Russell Crowe explained how his love of Leeds United began but his appearance distracted fans
Hollywood acting legend Russell Crowe has explained how he ended up being a Leeds United diehard and even a part owner in the club - but fans were distracted by his appearance on The One Show.
Russell explained how he ended up becoming a fan of Leeds United in the 70s and is now still a part owner of the Elland Road outfit.Russell told BBC viewers: "In the early 70s, after I finished playing sport, rugby or cricket or whatever, you'd go home and there was three channels back in those days.
"So we tuned in and watched Match of the Day and Leeds were quite a successful team in the early 70s.Jermaine Jenas then added, a touch patronisingly,: "They're on their way back, they're on their way back."
