Russia's coronavirus cases have risen by more than 10,000 cases for sixth consecutive day, bringing the total number of cases to 187,859.
A sharp rise in the number of cases in Russia has seen the country become home to the fifth highest number of confirmed infections worldwide, according to data compiled by John Hopkins University.
It also means Russia has overtaken France and Germany in terms of the number of cases, with more than half of the country's 177,160 cases in Moscow, leaving its healthcare system struggling to cope., more than triple the official figure, the TASS news agency reported.
