Russian forces launched a barrage of strikes in Kyiv and across Ukraine on Monday that knocked out electricity and water supplies in parts of the country, as the Kremlin intensified itsSeveral loud explosions were heard in Kyiv shortly after 8 a.m.
on Monday, during the morning rush hour. The capital’s mayor said the strikes severed the water supply in part of the city. Ukrainian officials said Russian missiles also disabled electricity grids in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia in southeastern Ukraine and some central and western parts of the country.
