Russia's security service has claimed a Ukrainian woman from the special services had rented an apartment in the same building as Darya Dugina to spy and follow the daughter of a prominent Vladimir Putin before being killed in a car bombing.
Alexander Dugin's daughter Darya Dugina, 29, died when the car she was travelling in near a Moscow village exploded on Saturday night, law enforcement officials said.
Russia's security service has claimed Ukrainian spy Natalia Shaban-Vovk of being the suspect behind the alleged car bombing of a Vladimir Putin's ally. Picture: Twitter The agency also showed a clip of Shaban-Vovk moving into the same apartment building Dugina lived where it claimed the alleged assassin gathered information and monitored her target's daily movements weeks before the bombing.
The mother and teen daughter trailed Dugina on Saturday to the musical and literary festival where she and her father were guests of honour. The Toyota Land Cruiser she was driving could be seen burning ferociously in the background with debris from the vehicle scattered across the bitumen.
