The UK’s armed forces minister says attacks to ‘disrupt logistics’ on Russian soil could save lives in Ukraine
The Security Council of Moldova’s breakaway Transnistria region has reported a “terrorist attack” on a military unit near the city of Tiraspol
Transnistria borders Ukraine, and a Russian military official has previously suggested that Russia taking control of the south of Ukraine, where a Russian garrison has been stationed since the 1990s. Rueters reports, the ministry said it was one of three such attacks on the region, after blasts tore through the state security HQ and two explosions damaged old Soviet-era radio antennae.
European Union energy commissioner Kadri Simson has told a news conference in Warsaw that a sixth package of European Union sanctions against Russia in response to its invasion ofReuters reports that the exact date of the package is not yet confirmed, and as with the previous rounds of EU sanctions it would need approval from EU countries.
