Video has emerged of a Russian cargo ship crashing into a bridge full of motorists in South Korea. 9News
In the footage, the 5,998 tonne Seagrand can be seen inching slowly towards the Gwangan Bridge in Busan, before it slams into the side crushing the top section of the vessel and taking a large two metre chunk out of the bridge.A Russian cargo ship has crashed into a busy bridge in South Korea.
There were no injuries reported in the collision, however local media have reported the ship’s captain may have been intoxicated when the collision occurred. Yonhap News Agency reported that the Korean Coast Guard said the captain had a blood alcohol reading of 0.086mmol and the legal limit is 0.03mmol.
Authorities said the large ship also hit a cruise ship in the port about 40 minutes before the bridge collision.
