Sergey Vladimirovich Cherkasov spent years building up fake ID and was to take up internship at ICC, says Dutch intelligence
A Russian spy tried and failed to secure an internship at the international criminal court using the false identity as a Brazilian citizen that he had built up for as long as a decade, according to Dutch intelligence.
But he had already been unmasked by western intelligence officers and when he arrived to take up his position at the court, Dutch immigration officials were warned by the country’s intelligence agency, AIVD.
