Rutgers hosted Michigan at Jersey Mike's Arena on Thursday.

Michigan would build its lead to a game-high eight points in the first five minutes with a 10-5 run highlighted by a three-pointer from Dickinson. The Scarlet Knights chipped away from there, cutting it to three points with a 5-0 run then exchanging baskets droughts with Michigan for the next six minutes. They’d come within two points with 10 minutes to play but could not get over the hump, shooting themselves in the foot over and over.

Rutgers turned the ball over six times, missed 13 of its final 17 shot attempts and scored just 10 points in the final 13 minutes of the contest. Michigan closed the game out on an 18-7 run as a result, putting the final nail on the coffin by taking a 10-point lead with just over two minutes to play. Decked out in black, Rutgers fans left the building in droves, with Michigan fans filling the silence with chants of “Let’s Go Blue!”Rutgers returns to action on Sunday against Penn State at the Bryce Jordan Center.
