“When it comes to climate, Ryanair is the new coal”
Ryanair Holdings has become the first airline to enter the top ten polluters in Europe, a group that previously only contained coal plants, according to 2018 figures released by the European Union on Monday.
The Irish airline’s emissions grew 6.9% in 2018 from 2017 to around 9.9 million metric tons of carbon-dioxide, taking the tenth spot among the top polluters, according to the EU.
