Ryanair have introduced strict new rules for some holidaymakers
Ryanair has enforced a new ban for anyone flying to a number of popular Spanish holiday destinations.
All passengers' carry-on luggage will be searched prior to boarding and any alcohol purchased at the airport will be marked and will be stored in the aircraft hold until landing. However, anyone caught trying to sneak booze on board could be kicked off their flight with no refund. In an email to passengers with bookings, Ryanair warned : "Customers will not be allowed to carry alcohol on board and all cabin baggage will be searched at the boarding gates.
Similar rules to ensure safe alcohol consumption are in place at a number of Spanish resorts. Anyone with an all-inclusive booking in areas such as Magalluf, El Arenal, Playa de Palma in Mallorca and Sant Antoni in Ibiza, will only be allowed six alcoholic drinks each day.
