NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian is urging caution with residents set to travel more thanks to an easing of COVID-19 restrictions and school holidays.

South Australia has officially opened its border with NSW, as Premier Gladys Berejiklian urges vigilance ahead of the school holidays.

Ms Berejiklian continued to urge vigilance as residents become more mobile than they have been since February this year. Overnight police reported that 21 people were issued with $1,000 fines for breaching COVID-19 public health orders during a protest in Sydney on Wednesday.
