The South Australian government is considering banning children under the age of 14 from social media.

Former federal court judge and lawyer Robert French was tasked with looking into how the ban would be enforced in SA. "Like most parents, I am concerned about the impact social media is having on children in our community," he said in a statement. Ryan said she supported Malinauskas's proposal to enforce stricter laws on how young people use social media.
