SA health authorities say they were not informed by their Victorian counterparts about when a woman who subsequently tested positive for coronavirus would be arriving at Adelaide Airport.
after being granted an exemption on compassionate grounds to visit a dying relative.
The woman had recently travelled from the United Kingdom and into Melbourne for a week, before flying to South Australia where she was tested and returned a positive result. Today, SA Chief Public Health Officer Nicola Spurrier revealed on ABC Radio Adelaide that health authorities were not told by interstate authorities when she would be arriving or what flight she was on.
"We didn't receive a critical piece of information from the other state and that meant that when the person came through the Adelaide Airport, we didn't have that information to hand [about] which day she was coming," Dr Spurrier said.
