Embattled state MP Sam Duluk will be summonsed to appear in court, facing one count of basic assault.
Embattled South Australian MP Sam Duluk, accused of inappropriate behaviour at a parliamentary Christmas party in December, will be summonsed to appear in court, facing one count of basic assault.
SA Police had been investigating the claims, but a spokesperson told the ABC the investigation was now complete. Police have issued a statement saying:"With regard to the matter involving a 36-year-old man from the southern suburbs reported for basic assault, alleged to have occurred on 13 December 2019 — the matter is currently with the Prosecution Services Branch."Prosecutors will now assess the police investigation, and the evidence presented, before the former Liberal MP will be forced to appear in court to answer the charge.
