South Australia's schoolies festival remains in doubt despite authorities acknowledging that thousands of school-leavers would likely travel to Victor Harbor in November, whether an organised event goes ahead or not. They say up to 10,000 people typically attend the festival at Victor HarborThousands of teenagers descend on the beachside town south of Adelaide every year to celebrate the end of their schooling.

Commissioner Stevens said police were working with SA Health, event organisers and high school students to devise a schoolies festival that would be safe despite the pandemic."It won't look like any other schoolies."Commissioner Stevens said high school students were well aware that this year's festival would not be the same, but said authorities were working with them to develop a "COVID-Safe" event that young people would still enjoy.
