Andy Whittaker previously hosted the breakfast show on BBC Radio Nottingham.
Another BBC Radio Nottingham presenter has announced he will soon be leaving after nearly 40 years with the corporation. Andy Whittaker, who previously presented the breakfast show in Nottingham, said he was "really sad" to confirm the news on Friday .
"It's been one hell of a ride though! I've clocked up 38 years, 33 of them staff, having presented my first show at 17. Strangely, that first show was Sunday breakfast on BBC Radio Stoke and it turns out my last scheduled show atm is also Sunday breakfast at BBC Radio Nottingham. It feels like an appropriate full-circle!"Andy said that an upcoming podcast project on the subject of undercover policing will be available around Christmas time.
