Sainsbury's has issued a 'do not eat' warning to its customers after salmonella was discovered in one of their products. The supermarket has recalled the By Sainsbury's Flaked Almonds due to this contamination.
The recall applies to the 200g bags with batch codes 4044 and 4045, and an expiry date of February 2025. The supermarket stated: "If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund."For more information, customers can visit the Sainsbury's website or contact Sainsbury's careline on 0800 028 8303.Salmonella bacteria can lead to food poisoning, with symptoms such as fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
