That's a fairly swift overview of what happens, because where would the fun be if we gave everything away? For us, it works. Having the Saints as younger roommates attempting to find their way in the world while noticing the shortfalls of the crews they already run with feels like a natural way for the story to start.
Combat in Saints Row feels very familiar, and series fans will have no trouble picking it all up again, but this time it's taking place in a game that looks better than anything we've ever seen in the series before. The new colour palette helps the colours pop on your screen, and this is emphasised by the fact that the background is coated in a dull desert backdrop.
