Salt Lake City police investigate a call of shots fired at the State Liquor Store located in the city's Pioneer Park neighborhood Thursday night, June 15, 2023 .pngPolice on Thursday responded to a shooting in Salt Lake City's Pioneer Park neighborhood, according to authorities.
Preliminary information provided by the Salt Lake City Police Department was limited, though a department spokesperson said additional details would be released as officials get them. The incident happened in the area of 400 South and 200 West, where officers were seen investigating the state's liquor store and speaking with people outside.
SLCPD spokesperson Brent Weisberg said in a statement that there were no injuries or property damage reported. Details were not included on how police confirmed a shooting had taken place. Officers were in the area late June 15 looking for the potential gunman, he stated. It wasn't clear whether a suspect had been identified.
