A Salt Lake man was killed earlier this week when his pickup truck ran into the back of another vehicle on I-215.
TAYLORSVILLE — A Salt Lake man was killed Wednesday when his pickup truck ran into the back of another vehicle.
About 12:50 p.m., a concrete pump truck broke down on the top of the on-ramp at 4700 South to go onto I-215 northbound, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. "The truck had blown a tire that broke the air lines, making it so that it would not move. Cones emergency triangles were set up to close one of the on-ramp lanes for the incident," the UHP said. The driver of the GMC, Dan Wooden, 54, died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Why Wooden's vehicle left its lane and crashed into the stationary vehicle remained under investigation Friday.
