Coral Kerr, the grandmother of Australian soccer star Sam Kerr, was struck by a car in Perth, Australia, and left in critical condition. The driver allegedly mounted the curb, hitting the 89-year-old woman near a bus stop. The incident also caused a power outage in several nearby homes.
Sam Kerr ’s grandmother Coral Kerr was left in a critical condition on Friday after being struck by a car metres from her home in Perth’s southeast.
Ms Kerr was getting off a bus in Palmyra just before 11am when a driver allegedly mounted the curb and hit the 89-year-old,He allegedly struck a power pole just before hitting Ms Kerr, and several homes were left without power.“A bus pulled up at the bus stop and there was a line of traffic, of cars, but this chap must have got very impatient and he decided he’d pull out and go down on the footpath,” neighbour Florence Mudge told 9News.
