A multistate manhunt is underway for a suspect who police say shot six homeless men in Washington, D.C. and New York City. Three of the victims were killed, including a man who was left inside a burning tent in Northeast D.C.

Both were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, D.C. police said.

“As a result of an autopsy, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that the cause of death was multiple stab and gunshot wounds,” D.C. police said. Anyone with information on the attacks should call police at 727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. D.C. police in partnership with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are offering a reward of up to $45,000 for information leading to an arrest. just before 7 p.m. Sunday at Greenwich Street and Mary Street in New York City. A man was sleeping in a bag on the street when he was fatally shot, multiple law enforcement sources told our sister station, NBC New York.
