Rumors have been circulating regarding a high-end Galaxy Watch 5 Pro variant composed of premium materials such as titanium and sapphire. Sapphire is decidedly more scratch resistant than regular glass and is often used on premium smart and classical watches alike, but using it on a smartwatch like the Galaxy Watch 5 will definitely bump up the price considerably.
Why? It seems that in its quest to improve battery life, Samsung has went for the jugular of design aesthetics and got rid of the Galaxy Watch 4's sleek profile. It would seem that the Galaxy Watch 5 will sport quite the thick bezels that wouldn't be very seamless, making for a dated and not-so-appealing appearance.
