5 popular coffeehouses will present their creative riffs on the classic
This is a bartending contest with a twist because the “bartenders” aren’t from bars at all, but some of San Jose’s favorite coffeehouses: Academic Coffee, Chromatic Coffee, Nirvana Soul, Roy’s Station and Voyager. They’ll be creating their own combinations of Jameson’s Irish Whiskey, coffee and cream for the judges.
A portion of the proceeds is benefitting the San Jose Jazz Aid Fund to help musicians still reeling from the pandemic. The brewing gets started at 7 p.m. at 160 W. Santa Clara St., and the public is invited. Attendees may purchase an Irish coffee or nitro Irish coffee from the Five Points bar; both of those will also be available on St. Patrick’s Day.
