Vladislav Namestnikov was acquired by the San Jose Sharks from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday and sent along two days later.

SAN JOSE – The San Jose Sharks traded Vladislav Namestnikov to the Winnipeg Jets, ending the forward’s short stint with the organization, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.Namestnikov, a pending unrestricted free agent, was acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday in exchange for winger Mikey Eyssimont. The Lightning retained half of Namestnikov’s $2.

Namestnikov, 30, is in his 10th NHL season and had 15 points in 57 games with the Lightning. The Jets are Namestnikov’s seventh NHL team, as he’s now been traded seven times since Feb. 2018. Sharks coach David Quinn suggested Thursday that Namestnikov’s stay with the Sharks would be brief, and that general manager Mike Grier would likely try to move him along for a future asset.
