Water polo and swimming standout Timothy Kerr named CIF scholar athlete of the year by CIF
San Ramon Valley senior swimmer and water polo standout Timothy Kerr has been selected as the 2023 co-‘CIF Scholar-Athlete of the Year’ alongside Lillie Vehling from Notre Dame-Sherman Oaks.
Both will receive a $10,000 scholarship and be recognized at the State Capitol in Sacramento on May 11. “Responsibility, caring, respect, trustworthiness, fairness, and citizenship are key aspects of my personality that form the foundation of my character,” Kerr said in a statement released by CIF. “The Six Pillars inspire me to continue to cultivate opportunities that enact positive change for me and my communities.”For the last two years, Kerr has served as president of a club that “focuses on fostering an inclusive school environment at SRVHS.
“Lillie and Timothy exemplify the top student-athletes in California,” CIF Executive Director Ron Nocetti said in the statement. “I want to congratulate them along with all the exceptional nominees this year that represent the best in education-based athletics.”
