ICYMI: Sask. emergency health order ends Monday
Health Minister Paul Merriman explained the order, which ends on Monday, won’t be extended because there are fewer than 100 health-care employees that have been shuffled to other positions.
“The question is, do we need that emergency order? And right now I don’t feel we do,” he said. “This does not mean COVID is over. This means that within our health-care system, things have stabilized to a position where we don’t need to move people from one position to another and we can move forward on a case-by-case basis.”
Removing the order also means a return to the union’s original terms in the collective bargaining agreement.Article content
