The budget process sees councillors vote to add new spending or potential cuts to a list for consideration. They debate the items, then have a final vote on each list item, with one last opportunity for debate and questions. Coun. Hilary Gough championed the proposal during Monday’s debate, and spoke in favour again Tuesday, noting the $750,000 goal is a return to the 20-year average funding for the program. Hill and Dubois voted against it.
