Viewers were not so distracted by the madness that the mistake went unnoticed
The ITV show returned to screens for its jam-packed 20th series which is set to be their last for a while. Because of that, the Geordie presenters have vowed to go all out.
The segment produced some bizarre moments that would look out of place on any other programme. The peculiar scenes saw X Factor's Jedward dressed up as raving shellfish, Great British Bake Off's Prue Leith being force fed cake by Father Christmas and fitness coach Mr Motivator wearing a tutu whilst locked in a tug-of-war battle with iconic green ogre Shrek.
The pair were dressed up as fast food items and were sword fighting on a pirate ship. Dec chose to tell his co-host the barmy truth of what was in front of his eyes, but made a slip of the tongue.
