Mike Otis introduced his 'Battle Tested Craft Barbecue Sauce' four years ago and is donating five percent of all sales to Clear Path for Veterans

" four years ago and is donating five percent of all sales to Clear Path for Veterans, as well as other organizations around the country that support veterans.

My father is a veteran, I served more than 20 years, and my son is currently serving with the 174th Air Attack Wing, so helping veterans is something that is a very important part of our mission," Otis said. The sauce now comes in two different flavors -- mesquite and hickory. Since its debut in 2019, Otis said sales have continued to grow and his Battle Tested Craft Barbecue Sauce can be found in a number of stores across the northeast, including Tops Friendly Market locations in New York.

"We are also at Mazzye’s Meats on Route 57 and at Spera’s Meat Markets in Cicero and Manlius. Our goal is to go national in the next couple of years," Otis said. Otis said the secret to his sauce is the all-natural ingredients that help bring out the flavors in meat.
