Prime Minister Scott Morrison has congratulated UK counterpart Boris Johnson on his election win.
"Say g'day to the quiet Britons for us," Mr Morrison tweeted on Friday evening, a play on his popular "quiet Australians" phrase."Looking forward to the stability this brings and a new deal for Oz with the UK," he said. Mr Johnson's Conservative Party is on course for a firm victory in Britain's election, with UK Labour facing one of its worst results since 1935.
