SBS took home three awards at the 2024 Australian Podcast Awards, which recognised the country's finest podcasters and titles.
SBS has been recognised for the slate of podcasts produced across its Audio and News teams, winning Publisher of the Year at the Australian Podcast Awards in Sydney. The broadcaster won gold in the Best Climate and Best Factual podcast categories, for Everything We Need and Grave Matters respectively, produced by SBS Audio. Recognition at the APAs was a testament to the breadth of the network's podcast offerings, SBS Audio Director David Hua said.
" Everything We Need is a seven-part series featuring remote communities as they grapple with the impacts of climate change, worsening bushfire and flood risk, intense summer weather, food and water insecurity, and rising energy costs. Host Kyla Brettle lauded the APAs for providing a platform for podcasts produced by "micro teams".
