Man United grabbed three crucial points in the Premier League on Saturday and although Bruno Fernandes netted the winner, Peter Schmeichel singled out another player for praise.
Peter Schmeichel insists Manchester United would not have beaten Fulham were it not for the 'majestic' Harry Maguire.
The 30-year-old suffered a blow to the head inside the opening minutes but after passing concussion protocols, produced another excellent display at the back. Despite also going down with a hand injury, he played the full 90 minutes and was central to the victory.ALSO READ: 'Nobody will be conned' - Neville casts verdict on performance vs Fulham
“Every coach now will put him in first. He was fantastic and without him today I can’t see how Man United would have won today.” But Schmeichel hopes that the win, whatever the circumstances, is the key takeaway and hopes it can build momentum going into another crucial week before the November international break.
