A Christian college has sparked outrage after insisting students commit to gender roles, agree homosexuality and bisexuality are “sinful”.

A Brisbane school has issued an enrolment contract asking families to agree to specific gender roles, while denouncing homosexuality and bisexuality.

“We believe that any form of sexual immorality is sinful and offensive to God and is destructive to human relationships and society,” the contract states. “The covenant of husband and wife to love and serve one another faithfully is intended to reflect the faithfulness of God and is a picture of Christ and His church.”

“Citipointe does not judge students on their sexuality or gender identity and we would not make a decision about their enrolment in the college simply on that basis. In an email sent to parents, Mr Mulheran said the last time any revisions were made to the enrolment contract was in 2019, but over the past decade, many changes had taken place regarding the operation of the college, including changes in legislation, duty of care, and other responsibilities, adding that the school had sought legal advice to revise the contract.
