Emails sent saying children will be kept indoors with doors and windows locked and warned they should call 999 if they see someone acting suspiciously when they pick their youngsters up
A number of schools and academies have been put into ‘soft’ lockdownb amid what has been described as a ‘credible threat’. Worried parents have been sent emails informing them that schools are keeping children inside all day.
Now, they are warning that an individual may attempt to gain access to schools and are urging staff to stay aware. Some pupils have reportedly been taken out of school by their parents. “Can we please ask that visits to school today are restricted to urgent matters only? You can of course contact school via telephone or email as usual. Thank you for your understanding.
