The Hawaiian Volacano Observatory said: ‘Shaking from the larger earthquakes may have been strong enough to do minor local damage, especially to older buildings. The increased seismic activity caused Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to close the Mauna Loa summit backcountry until further notice.
