The dedicated constable dragged himself out of bed at 4.30am for two-hour training sessions each morning
Police officer Robert Collie has become the force’s favourite PC Bod – despite scoffing turkey mince and rice for seven months. The 32-year-old bodybuilder wolfed down the high-protein meal four times a day in training before winning the Natural Physique Association’s middleweight title.
Robert broke down in tears when judges revealed he was named Britain’s best in his class earlier this month . The officer, who has been on the force for 13 years, said: “Winning a title, and the British title in particular, was something I had dreamed of. “I’m not a particularly emotional guy – after a decade in the police, I’ve become quite hardened to things – but when they called my name, I broke down on stage. I couldn’t hold back the emotion.
“I liked to keep things simple. I ate the same meal five times a day for seven months and it needed to be something I could eat cold and carry with me.
