"When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer I was just 34 and I simply couldn’t imagine what life would be like after cancer. The word cancer changed everything. She lost her hair during treatment but instead started wearing a wig she named Wendy.
A week after finishing the treatment in September 2015, she jetted off on an action packed trip of a lifetime to destinations including Bangkok, Vietnam, Australia, Fiji and a skydive from 15,000ft over Lake Taupo in New Zealand. Claire said: "My mum was the most precious person in my life until I had my own daughter. The bench which my mum loved is now in my garden. I think and talk about my mum every single day.
In June 2021, Claire-Ann had a preventative mastectomy after tests showed there was a risk of breast cancer recurring.
