Sharon Travers was en-route to Cults Parish Church in Aberdeen when the car she was travelling in broke down on Saturday, September 16.
A Scots bride who found herself stranded at the side of a busy road in her wedding dress has told how the day was saved by a kind stranger. Sharon Travers was en-route to Cults Parish Church, Aberdeen, when the car she was travelling in broke down.
"I didn't really want to walk or run but we were just a bit too far from the church and I didn't want to leg it but that seemed like it would be the only option. I was meant to be going in the green Triumph Stag that my friend has, and I got in it and arrived in a totally different one. Flustered Sharon didn't notice how fancy the motor that picked her up was until she settled into the short journey. She added: "It wasn't until I was in the car that I said to the guy- 'your car is lovely'.
