Pick-ups for Peace transports supplies and vehicles to help rescue civilians

A group of Scottish farmers are sending a fleet of 4x4s to Ukraine to help rescue civilians from the frontline of the conflict.

The farmer, 51, and his colleagues have already driven 100 disused farm vehicles to Ukraine – all packed with vital supplies. “The idea about pick-ups is quite simple, as these vehicles can get to the front, to areas where they will literally save lives – and they already have done. One Scottish firm has donated £130,000 of generators to power hospitals and schools, which will go in the next convoy. The first convoy has taken more than £170,000 of potatoes, blankets and vital items like diesel cans, battery chargers, cable ties, jump leads, drones, fan belts, spare tyres and winter jackets.
