Scammers are using AI to make language more believable and 'human like', with potential victims warned to stay alert.
A warning has been issued to the people of Scotland as the rise of ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence is making scams harder to spot.
Advice Direct Scotland also warn that AI image generators are being used to create fake celebrity endorsements that can appear real in order to trick victims. According to Advice Direct Scotland, the number of scam reports has increased by a third over the last year, with AI tactics now being used across the board.
“The use of AI makes it a lot harder for people to spot scams because it can make emails and images look far more believable.
