Joyce Bell made thousands after selling almost 100 items online.

A pensioner who made thousands of pounds secretly selling elephant ivory on Ebay is facing being sent to prison for 12 months.

The court was told that Bell spent years selling costume jewellery to China and other countries and had made £6,412.12 as a result of her online activity. She also admitted breaching a trade prohibition by selling ivory items to others between 6 June and 21 September 2022, contrary to the Ivory Act 2018 section 12 .
